If you know me, you'll know that Anne of Green Gables is one of my favorite movies. In the books & movie, Anne talks a lot about kindred spirits. The first time Raven emailed me to ask about wedding photography, I had a feeling that there was something special about her. The day I met Raven to talk about wedding photography, we sat at the coffee shop and talked for hours about wedding plans and mission trips and everything in between! I knew that I hadn't just met a potential client, I had met a kindred spirit.
Raven and Jesse got married on the most beautiful day in July at Creekside Meadows in Shippensburg, PA. We had prayed for perfect weather for this amazing couple and God answered with a yes -- Seriously, it was under 80 degrees and there was even a slight breeze! Aside from the weather, I had some other favorite moments of their wedding day:
i. Jesse's vows. He should win a prize for having the most well-written, meaningful vows. (I cried.)
ii. Raven's incredibly beautiful bouquet that she designed and assembled herself, along with Jesse's boutonniere and the rest of the wedding day florals.
iii. The bridesmaids praying over Raven (and her marriage to Jesse) prior to the ceremony.
iv. Watching guests shower Raven and Jesse with love and kind words. It was clear that they are so loved by their family and friends, and I think that speaks to what kind of people they are. They are both so special and I'm honored to call them friends. :)
What a joy to be part of such a beautiful wedding!
